Nchanga MP donates to expecting mothers at Kabundi Clinic

Chingola Nchanga Constituency Member of Parliament Derricky Chilundika has donated hampers to expecting mother at Kabundi Clinic in his constituency.

Speaking during the donation, Mr Chilundika said the donation was to show appreciation to the people as well as a fulfillment of his campaign promise of giving back to the community.

Mr Chilundika who is also Luapula Province Minister took time to interact with the mother’s in the maternity ward assured them of Government’s commitment in improving the wellbeing of the person health wise.

He said under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) the Local Authority has approved a sum of K50, 000 as emergency fund to buy medication and other health requirements.

He also said that plans to turn Kabundi clinic in a level one hospital are underway, this will be done with the aim of decongesting Nchanga Hospital.

And Kabundi Clinic sister in charge at the Clinic Nandazi Njaka thanked the Member of Parliament for the donation made to the expecting mothers.

Ms Njaka said that the donations will help those that lacked the donated items during and after birth.

And the expecting mothers who received the donation expressed gratitude.

The Member of Parliament also took some time to visit the Chingola Eye and Dental Clinic where he donated assorted items which included 5 thermometers and a BP machine

And the Registered Public Nurse Foster Phiri who spoke on behalf of the clinic thanked the MP saying the items donated will take them a long way.
