Ndola City Council is implementing the Local Participation in Governance Project (LoPaGo).
The project which is meant to enhance the participation of local communities in governance issues is being supported by German development services (GIZ).
LCC Public Relations Manager Tilyenji Mwanza said the project will provide a platform for constructive dialogue and public hearings between the Council and Communities on various local government topics.
Ms Mwanza said the ball is already in motion with GIZ already conducting orientation workshop to the Local Authority, communities and various stakeholders.
She said the mandates is on the Local Authority, civic responsibility, standing orders and integrated development planning.
She said Ndola City Council Local Participation in Governance Project will be further implemented through selected Community Based Organizations as well as Civil Society Organizations.
