Napsa Stars have moved out of the relegation zone after beating Buildcon 2-1 in a delayed FAZ Super Division match played in Lusaka on Friday afternoon.
The win has pushed Napsa two places up to number 13 on the table with 24 points from 19 matches played.
Ten-man Napsa showed character by coming from 1-0 down to overcome visiting Buildcon at Woodlands Stadium.
After a goalless first half, Buildcon took a 51st minute lead with forward Emmanuel Okutu scoring a penalty after keeper Philip Banda fouled Musonda Kapembwa in the box.
But Napsa’s Doisy Soko ensured that Buildcon’s lead lasted only nine minutes as he leveled matters after being set up by Austin Banda.
Napsa scored the winner 21 minutes away from full time when substitute Bornwell Mwape put his name on the score-sheet a minute after replacing Emmanuel Mayuka.
Napsa were reduced to ten men earlier in the 55th minute after Captain Dickson Chapa was red carded by referee Leonard Akapelwa for a second bookable offence.
Meanwhile, Buildcon have missed a chance to go third on the table as they remain stuck in sixth place with 31 points after playing 21 matches.
