Napsa Stars appears to have complicated their chances of advancing to the pre-group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after Tuesday’s 0-0 home draw against UD Songo of Mozambique at National Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
The stalemate at home in the second round, first leg game means Napsa must win away in Mozambique in the return match to qualify to the next phase.
Napsa and Songo meet on January 6 in Beira with the winner advancing to the pre-group round of the competition.
The coaching bench of the two sides expressed mixed feelings after the draw in the capital city.
Songo assistant coach Manuel Carlos said:”We played the game according to our plan and we took this result into the final leg so that we try by all means to win the game.”
Napsa coach Mohamed Fathi said:”We know their strengths and this game has helped us a lot.”
