Napsa Stars fires coaches again

By Nchimunya Miyoba in Kitwe
Embattled Napsa Stars Football Club  have again fired its head coach Elijah  Chikwanda and his two assistants Chabby  Chabala and Sipho Mumbi in its effort to improve the performance of the team.

Napsa like Nchanga Rangers are known to be using coaches as its relief valves.

The problem at Napsa seems deep rooted but management keeps on taking its venom on coaches accusing them of not being result oriented.

According to a press release made available to The Independent Observer, it stated that a new technical team is being considered and will be announced soon.

Napsa Stars Limited Board Chairman Stanley Zingani Phiri thanked the former coach and his team for their contributions to the club but reiterated that the decision to part ways had become necessary and was meant to improve the performance of the team.

“We have looked at all the options and we have resolved that it is important to enhance the coaching bench to improve the team performance. We are in the process of engaging a new technical bench that will take charge of the team going forward. I would like to thank the coach and his two assistants for their contribution to the club and wish them good luck,” said Phiri.

In 18 games played so far, Napsa Stars has won only once against Zanaco FC, drew seven times and recorded 10 losses.

Recently this year the club fired its head coach Linos Makwaza together with his two assistants Dabwitso Nkhoma and Harry Milanzi who took over from Tenant Chilumba in September last.
