Napsa Stars Coach says team accounted well

Despite blowing their two-goal lead against Algerian side JS Kabylie, Napsa Stars assistant coach Kampamba Chintu says his team accounted themselves well in a 2-all draw in a CAF Confederation Cup encounter on Wednesday.
The pensioners battle to a draw with Kayblie in a Group B encounter  at Heroes Stadium in Lusaka.
Napsa were headed for victory but conceded two late goals to allow the visitors to snatch a point.
The drew meant that Napsa moved to one point after suffering defeat in a group opener against Berkane last Wednesday.
Defending champions Berkane beat Napsa 2-0 in Morocco.
Chintu said that it was Napsa’ desire to carry maximum points and they put up a brave fight but were unlucky to pick a point.
“We really wanted to win the game, I think we started quite well, we managed to get a goal, in both halves. I think the team has improved from the previous game. We are almost there but of course it’s  football sometimes it’s got some ups and downs, we wanted to get a win but unfortunately we drew which means we have a point, “said Chintu during  a post-match press conference.
He said the team will prepare well for the upcoming matches in order to keep hopes of reaching the quarter finals alive.
“I ‘m proud of how the team played, they really fought hard and played according to instructions but football is a game of mistakes, unfortunately we had to concede. . We played an experienced team so I think the team is improving,” he said.
Kabylie coach Lavagme Delli saluted his charges for managing to salvage a point.
Napsa are perched bottom of the group with one point, three behind leaders Kabylie while Berkane and Cameroonian side Cotonsport are tied on three points.
