Police in Siavonga have arrested the Managing Director of Nando’s, Debonairs, Curry in a Hurry, Spurs, MyAsia, Panarottis’s and others renown fast foods restaurants in franchising by Fortune Foods Ltd and Fortune Chickens Ltd.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo has confirmed the arrested of Mr Parmar to The Independent Observer.
Ms Katongo said Mr Parmar was charged and arrested for the offence of conspiracy to commit a felony (Arson) contrary to section 394 and 328 as amended by act no. 22 of 2007 of cap 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
She said the accused person is on police bond
And sources from Siavonga said Mr Parmar is now out on bond waiting to be prosecuted along with other suspects who he allegedly hired to execute the offence.
Among the accused is said to be the retired boxer Galagata Zulu.
The victim is Antonio Sciallino who saw his house in Siavonga burnt.
The first attempt occurred the night between May 2 and 3, this year where the perpetrators did not manage to fully complete the Job.
The second succesful attempt occured the night between May 7 and 8 this year where the house was fully burned.
