The Patriotic Front in North western province has donated assorted items to Mushindamo District Health Office, for use in the fight against Covid 19 in the district.
Presenting the donation on behalf of the party, PF Provincial Chairperson Jackson Kungo said the party remains committed to helping government in the fight against the pandemic.
And Kungo has called on Members of Parliament in North Western Province to emulate lawmakers from other provinces and contribute towards the fight against Covid.
He said fighting a virus the magnitude of Covid requires concerted efforts from all stakeholders including politicians.
He encouraged people to continue observing guidelines that have been put in place by the Ministry of Health such as social distancing as well as washing hands among others.
And receiving the donation, Mushindamo District Commissioner Emmanuel Chihili said the donation was timely and would go a long way in the fight against the spread of Covid-19 in the district.
He thanked the party for coming on board to supplement governments efforts in the fight against the pandemic which he said needed a united stakeholder participation to overcome.
He promised that the donated items would be put the to good use.
And Mushindamo District Director of Health Dr Edgar Mutimushi thanked the party for walking the talk by making the donation. He said though health is bipartisan and apolitical, it is gladdenibg that the PF Provincial leadership is able to lead by example and contribute to the fight.
