Deputy Secretary to Cabinet, Christopher Mvunga, has urged Zambians living in South Africa to be united.
Speaking when he delivered his tribute Speech at the requiem mass for the Chairperson of the Zambian Catholic Community in South Africa, Chimwemwe Peter Mtonga, Mr Mvunga said Zambians should display the sense of patriotism and unity even when living in the diaspora.
He said peace was cardinal Among Zambians living in that country ,as Zambia has been known world wide to be a peaceful Nation .
And Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa Emmanuel Mwamba regretted the death of the late Mr Mtonga and said it was a deep loss to the Zambian community in South Africa.
He said the deceased was instrumental in helping the embassy bring Zambians together.
He said the Mtongas were so active that Ms Beauty sits in the Board of the Zambia-South Africa Business Forum(ZSBF).
The body of the late Mr Mtonga will arrive at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport in Zambia on Sunday at 15hrs aboard South African Airways.
The requiem service was held on Saturday at St Martin de Porres Parish in Craighall Park in Johannesburg.
