The Road Development Agency (RDA) has received 430,000 Kwacha to complete construction of the Mushitala-Kimasale Bridge.
This is after Works on the Mushitala- Kimasala Bridge stalled for six years owing to lack of funding.
North Western province RDA regional Manager Manda Ndabane revealed that the agency is expected to complete the construction of the bridge in the next two weeks.
And North Western Province Deputy Permanent Secretary Naomi Tentamashimba said the government is engaging Kansanshi Mining Plc to upgrade the Mushitala – Kimasale Road to an all-weather gravel Road.
She said the mine will move in to upgrade the road once construction of the bridge is complete.
“Government wants to cooperate with the private sector on numerous projects in the province to foster development,” she said.
And, Solwezi Mayor Remmy Kalepa has called for patience among residents as Government works on upgrading most roads in the district.
