Mushindano Witch Doctor admits possessing charm

A Traditional healer and his assistant have pleaded guilty to one count of possessing charms before Chingola Magistrate court.

Appearing before Magistrate Stephen Maona was Albert Chansa 37, of Kang’wena Mushindano, Ernest Luwi 23, of Kang’wena Mushindano the assistance to the traditional healer and Leonard Mwape 47, of Kapisha facing one count of being possession of charm contrary to the witchcraft act of the laws of Zambia.

Particulars of the offence are that on January 4, 2020, the trio jointly and whilst acting together had in possession of charms without lawful documentation or authority.

Chansa and Luwi admitted to the charge that the charms are the tools that they use in doing their work as traditional healers to heal the sick while Mwape denied the charges.

Magistrate Mr Maona adjoined the matter for January 17, 2020 for written facts and commencement of trail for Mwape.
