Munda Wanga restocked

Government has restocked the Munda Wanga Botanical Garden in Chilanga with seven new species.

Ministry of Tourism and Arts Spokesperson, Sakabilo Kalembwe said the species were translocated from different parks and sanctuaries across the country.

Among the species include are 20 Impalas, Three lion cabs, Warthogs and Karakals among others.

Mr Kalembwe said this is part of the revamping of the Garden in order to promote local tourism within Chilanga and surrounding areas.

He said Munda wanga has been opened to the public for tourism business only, strictly for animal viewing after closure due to the Covid-19.

Meanwhile, Chilanga Member of Parliament Maria Langa said plans are underway to establish a cultural centre within the park.
