Mimbula Ward Councillor Matthews Muke has criticized Mulonga Water Supply and Sanitation Company (MWSC), labeling it a “failed company” due to its inconsistent water supply services.
According to Mr Muke, areas under his ward, including blocks 16, 18, 19, and 20, as well as part of the ABB area, face erratic water supply, impacting daily life.
The Councillor expressed frustration over the company’s unresponsiveness, despite attempts to engage with them.
Residents, particularly women from the ABB area who has Mulonga connection have also voiced complaints about the water situation.
MWSC performance has raised concerns among stakeholders the company’s struggles to provide reliable water supply have led to alternative measures.
Mulonga’s challenges highlight the need for improved water management and infrastructure development in Zambia.
