Mufulira Tennis coach commends Mopani for continued support -Kunda

Mufulira Kantanshi Tennis Club Coach Revan Kaunda has thanked Mopani Copper Mine for their continued support to the club and enabled the team travel to south Africa to compete in the Junior Spring Tour tournament that took place from September, 24 to 27, 2021.

Kaunda said during the tournament his young players performed exceptionally well in the under 10, 12, 14 and 16 as they managed to win all the trophies respectively.

Kaunda has described the support rendered by Mopani as morale booster to his young players.

And Kantanshi Tennis Club Player Jeremia Kaunda said that they will continue working hard so that they can win more trophies.

“As players we are are happy to see that Mopani is willing to support them going forward,” he said.

He has since called their fellow youths involved in illicit behavior to desist from such and keep themselves busy by joining tennis sport.

And Kantanshi Tennis Club players saw a sibling affair as the sensation star twins clashed in the final with Isabel Chisongo beating the younger Christabel Chisongo 6-3 6-4.

The twins said that despite coming out on top during the Mike Mambwe tournament that took place in Ndola, their goal is to keep working hard so that they can improve their skills.

And Zambia Tennis Association-ZTA-President Gibson Phiri said there is need for stakeholders to tap into the potential Mufulira has in terms of tennis as a sport.
