MQHZ Senior Public Relations Officer Vanessa Banda said that more health facilities across the country will soon be overwhelmed with cases of COVID-19 if something urgent is not done to halt the spread.
Ms Banda said government must boost critical care capacity to prevent health facilities from being overwhelmed in the country.
She said the organization, pleads for serious citizen cooperation in tackling community spread of this dreaded virus.
Ms Banda said MQHZ said the general public should take a serious responsibility toward curtailing the spread of this virus.
“Therefore, we urge all stakeholders, including religious, community and political leaders to join hands with government in the fight against the spread of COVID-19 by sensitising members of their constituencies and monitoring compliance,”she said.
She said, MQHZ commend the courageous and selfless sacrifice of the Health workers in the Isolation centers, Accident and Emergency units for their outstanding performance so far.
