Motivational: Is the life Director guiding your life?

By Rev Clifford Chisha
A script is a written document prepared in advance to be read as a guide for a movie and news.

The actors and news casters are given prepared words to read out.

The actor in a movie is given a character which is already prepared by the writer of the script.

For the actor to thrive there is need to follow the provided lines in the script.

The director of the movie makes sure the actor follows the lines in the script.

The director has to be creative and should understand the script very well.

God created each one of us with a purpose. He prepared everything. Yes, He prepared your script.

There’s a script for your life.

HEBREWS 10:7

Then I said, ‘Here I am–it is written about me in the scroll–I have come to do your will, O God.'”

“There’s a script for your life, and its writer is your creator.”

√Our script writer, who is the living God, has given us the lines or what to follow.

√The Holy Spirit, our Director, guides us.

He knows the script very well and he knows our abilities.

The script writer usually determines how the story starts and ends.

He knows the conclusion because he is the one who concludes the conclusion.

√Your life’s script writer, the living God, finished the script about your life before you were born and knows the conclusion.

√God has already determined the course of your life; the geographical position or place of your birth, the family and parents, your gender, purpose, time of arrival (year of birth) and departure time (death).

All the above are part of your life’s script written by your creator, Jehovah Elohim.

The anchor scripture under consideration reveals that the scroll had information about Jesus Christ.

Hebrews chapter 10:5-6 reveals the major reason why Jesus Christ came on earth-to offer his body as a perfect sacrifice.

God was not pleased with burnt offerings and sin offerings.

Therefore, God prepared a body for him. This body was going to be crucified.

Yes, he was going to take away our sin through his death.

The blood of other sacrifices only covered sin but the blood of Jesus took away sin, once and for all.

Hebrews 10:5-6.

5 “Consequently, when Christ came into the world, he said,

‘Sacrifices and offerings you have not desired, but a body have you prepared for me.

6 In burnt offerings and sin offerings you have taken no pleasure.’ ”

Hebrew 10:7 reveals that the scroll had something written about him, he had come to do God’s will.

His coming was well prepared and documented (in the scroll).

Some portions of the scroll (script) where the life and purpose of the life of Jesus Christ are written – Psalm 40:6-8,Isaiah 61:1-3,Luke 4:16-19,Isaiah 9:6-7,Micah 5:2 and Isaiah 11:1-5.

There was a script for the earthly life of the Lord Jesus Christ and he came to fulfil the will of its author.

If you don’t cooperate with the script writer and the director, you will be “out of character.”

You will fail to live the life the living God intended for you and frustration will be a definite consequence.

Jeremiah 1:4-5

4 The word of the LORD came to me, saying,

5 “Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”

In the above portion of scripture, the script writer (the LORD) reveals to Jeremiah part of what He prepared for him (Jeremiah).

In the script, Jeremiah was appointed prophet to the nations.

Jeremiah cooperated with the script writer and his life found meaning and satisfaction.

Despite the many challenges he faced, he lived a fulfilled life.

How can an individual know some of the things written in his or her script?

God is so gracious.

He reveals what is written about us in the following ways:

  1. Through His word

√The Bible gives us both specific and general information about what God intended for our lives.

  1. Through dreams

√What some of us have become, we saw in dreams.

√Dreams are one of the ways in which God communicates to human beings.

√Some people who are teachers today used to see themselves in dreams, teaching groups of people.

Some used to see themselves having many people following them and today they are leading nations.

The problem is that most of us do not pay attention to dreams.

The devil knows that God does reveal future events or occurrences through dreams.

In order to prevent human beings from having insights into what is written in their scripts, the devil has caused people not to value and pay attention to dreams.

It is however worth noting that dreams have various sources.

Not all dreams come from God.

Some dreams come from the devil and some from our daily businesses.

√Joseph had two recorded dreams which had one primary interpretation or meaning.

What he was destined to become was revealed through dreams almost thirteen (13) years before he became.

He was exalted by God, he became Prime Minister in a foreign nation.

GENESIS 37:5-11.

  1. Through others

√The living God can use our fellow human beings to give us an idea of what God has put in our script.

  1. Through our abilities

√The unique abilities God has deposited into our lives sometimes gives us an idea of our destiny.

√I have been a witness to situations where people have predicted what a person will become after looking at his abilities, and it came to pass.

√ Career masters used to look at an individual’s interests and what a person was good at before advising them on what career to consider or go for.

Your abilities may be a pointer to what God wants you to become.

  1. Circumstances

√Circumstances usually speak and if well interpreted, may point to what God intended for your life.

Though God may not reveal to an individual the entire script, He does give a synopsis or a glimpse of major parts of our script.

When you know some parts of your script, you will not panic and like Paul, you will know when the “movie” is about to end.

It’s only a person who has an idea of what his or her script contains who can utter the profound words below;

  • However, I consider my life worth nothing to me, if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me–the task of testifying to the gospel of God’s grace.

“Now I know that none of you among whom I have gone about preaching the kingdom will ever see me again.

(ACTS 20:24-25)

  • I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. (2 TIMOTHY 4:7)

When you have an idea of what is contained in your script, you will become focused and confident.

You will not do what everyone else is doing.

I suspect that this is what happened to Joseph.

Joseph was focused and refused to sleep with Potiphar’s wife.

You are not an accident.

Your coming to planet earth was planned and sanctioned by God.

There’s a script for your life and its writer has good plans for you.

It doesn’t matter how you were born and where you were born.

What matters most is the purpose why you were born.

The opinions of others matters less, what is written in your script matters more.

Make efforts to obtain a synopsis of your script.

It is there.
