Solwezi Central Constituency Member of Parliament Stafford Mulusa says Solwezi Municipal Council will continue to implement various Constituency Development fund (CDF) projects in order to improve the living standards for Solwezi residents.
Mr Mulusa said projects such construction of classroom blocks and health facilities as well as sinking of boreholes will be implemented to foster development.
Speaking when he presented CDF Grant Cheques to beneficiaries Mr Mulusa said that it is the desire of the President to see all Zambians develop and sustain themselves.
He said that the 24 Cooperatives that received Grants for the second quarter add the total to 48 Cooperatives that have so far received Grants for various income generating ventures in the constituency.
He urged Councillors in his Constituency to closely monitor the Cooperatives that have received the empowerment Grants to ensure that the money is used for the intended purpose and not for consumption.
