Mimosa Phiri Commends Kwacha residents

Kwacha ward Councillor in Chingola Constituency Mimosa Phiri has commended the residents of Kwacha ward for according him a chance to work with them in the next five years.

Speaking shortly after sworn in at Chingola Municipal Council, Mr Phiri said the taking of oath marks the beginning of  work to their respective wards.

Mr Phiri said that the time has come for him for fill the promises that he made during the campaign period.

“Am thankful to the people of Kwacha for putting their  trust in me to lead them, and I would like to ask them to be patient so that we settle and make policies that will help the ward to move forward and develop, also to make sure that  youths and women are empowered,” said.

He has called on the people of Kwacha to work together so that the ward can develop.

Mr Phiri also urged all elected leaders and the people of Zambia to preach peace so that the district and the country at large can be united.

“It is important that we preach peace and unity because where there is peace, there is development and things move fast and deliver as a community not as an individual,” he said.
