Mimbula Minerals Promotes Responsible Living Among Youths Through Football

By ALICE NACHILEMBE
Mimbula Minerals has reiterated its commitment to promoting responsible living among youths in Chingola through its football teams, Mimbula Minerals Queens and the Men’s team.

According to Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility Manager Ian Chomba, the company believes that sports, particularly football, can be a powerful tool in shaping the lives of young people.

“We want to encourage young people to refrain from bad vices in society, such as substance abuse and violence, and instead focus on developing their skills and talents,” he said.

He noted that the company’s football teams have been performing well, with the Queens recently clinching the top spot in the Chingola Women’s Football League.

Mr. Chomba added that Mimbula Minerals is also investing in other community development initiatives, including the construction of infrastructure such as schools, clinics, and youth centers.

“Our goal is to create a supportive environment that enables young people to grow and thrive,” he said. “We believe that by providing them with access to education, healthcare, and recreational facilities, we can help shape a society that is responsible, disciplined, and productive.”
