The Media Liaison Committee (MLC) has sends a message of condolences to the family, staff at Zambezi FM in Livingstone and friends on the death of veteran Journalist Swithin Haangala.
Mr Haangala who died on Thursday March 17, 2022 was not only an accomplished broadcaster for many years but also an advocate of press freedom and professionalism among media practitioners in Zambia.
MLC Chairperson Enock Ngoma said he has over the years proved that one can excel in the media as evidenced by, among others, his ability to run his own radio station in Zambezi FM.
Mr Ngoma said once again, the nation has been robbed of a reservoir of knowledge in media issues in the late Mr Haangala.
He said without the mention of Mr Haangala, the broadcasting industry in Zambia would remain incomplete.
“As MLC we call on the media in Zambia and other Zambians to pray for the Haangala family during this trying period,” he said.
