Police in Mazabuka has arrested and charged a 20-year-old adult Juvenile for stabbing two female Juvenile among them his 15-year-old wife with a knife.
Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said brief facts of the matter are that on November 8, 2022 around 23:30 hours at Zambia Township in Mazabuka, the suspect found his wife with another man Chrispine Chanda in a compromising manner.
Mr Hamoonga said upon seeing them, the man ran away and the suspect descended on his wife and stabbed her with a knife.
He said the suspect later followed Chanda to his house where he was not found but only his wife Wendy Kandela 20 at home who he also stabbed.
Mr Hamoonga said the two victims were both admitted to Mazabuka General Hospital and the first victim Wendy Kandela died today November 9, 2022 at about 01:30 hours and her body has been deposited in Mazabuka General Hospital Mortuary waiting for Post-mortem.
He said the second victim is still admitted in the Intensive Care Unit and the condition is stable.
Mr Hamoonga said the suspect has been apprehended, detained in custody and charged for the offences of Murder and Attempted Murder, he will appear in court soon.
The matter was reported on November 9, 2022 at 00:50 hours at Mazabuka Police Station which occurred on November 8, 2022 around 23:30 hours at Zambia Township in Mazabuka.
