Mayuka shines as Napsa advance in CAF Cup

The 2012 Africa Cup winner Emmanuel Mayuka has sent Napsa Stars into the pre group stage of the CAF Confederation Cup after engineering a 1-1 draw at UD Songo away in Beira, Mozambique on Wednesday afternoon.

Ex-Chipolopolo striker Mayuka came off the bench to score a 74th minute goal that cancelled Songo’s early lead in the return match of the first round.

Lau King had given Songo a lead when scoring after 22 minutes but the Mayuka magic had the final say on the direction of the match.

Mayuka replaced Bornwell Mwape two minutes before scoring the crucial goal.

Napsa qualifies on away goals rule after the first leg match played in Lusaka ended goalless two weeks ago.

The Mohammed Fathi coached side now has one more round before the lucrative group stage of the second prestigiously African club competition.
