Mayuka, Mwape will miss NAPSA CAF game

By CHINOYI CHIPULU
Napsa Stars strikers Emmanuel Mayuka and Bornwell Mwape will miss Sunday’s CAF Confederation Cup Pre-Group Stage first leg encounter against Gor Mahia of Kenya due injuries.

The duo resumed light training last week, but has not regained full fitness to make the trip to Kenya for the first leg.

Former international Mayuka has netted twice in the Confederation Cup and has managed four goals in the Super Division this season while Mwape is yet to open his account in both competitions.

According to the list of the traveling players to Kenya released by Napsa media and public relations officer Gwen Chipasula, coach Mohamed Fathi has named a strong 23-man squad with the exclusion of former Nkana right back Gift Zulu and the two players.

Zulu trekked to Napsa last month and has featured in some Super Division matches.

Fathi however, has included former Zesco United duo of defender David Odhiambo and midfielder Enock Sabumukama, who joined the club in January.

Among the players Fathi has picked are goalkeepers Rabson Muchelenganga, Philip Banda and Shaban Ohdoji.

Others are defenders Luka Banda, Luka Nguni, Aaron Kabwe, Lawrence Chungu, Bornwell Silengo, Amos Simwanza and Odhiambo.

Midfielders Jacob Ngulube, Daniel Odoko, Simon Nkhata, Austine Banda, Aaron Banda, Danny Silavwe, Dickson Chapa and Sabumukama have also made the cut.

The rest are strikers Chanda Mushili, Laudit Mavugo, Jimmy Mukeya, Doisy Soko and Tapson Kaseba.

The team left for Nairobi Kenya this morning aboard Kenyan Airways.
