Striker Emmanuel Mayuka says Napsa Stars will approach Wednesday’s CAF Confederation Cup second leg encounter against Mozambican side UD Songo with a winning mentality for them to advance to the next stage.
The Pensioners need a win or any scoring draw to progress to the pre-group stage of the competition.
The first leg in Lusaka ended in a barren draw in December.
Mayuka said in an interview at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport before departure for Mozambique that Napsa have done their homework ahead of the game and he is looking forward to helping the team qualify to the next round.
“I believe that we are going there to try and win the game and we will see how it goes,” he said.
The former Chipolopolo forward said the game is still evenly poised and can go either way and is looking forward to scoring.
“We are going there with a winning mentality, We know, here we drew 0-0 so the game is still 50-50 it can go either way and as a striker I am looking forward to scoring goals but I also want to help the team win and progress to the next round,” Mayuka said.
He said Napsa have an idea on how their opponents play having faced them in the first leg.
Meanwhile, Napsa coach Mohamad Fathi has included fit again strikers Bornwell Mwape and Tapson Kaseba in his 23-man squad that left for Mozambique yesterday on a chartered plane.
The duo missed both preliminary round legs against Ngazi Sports of Comoros and were also not available for the first leg against Songo due to injuries.
