A 25-year-old man poisoned himself after he set ablaze his 21 year old wife using Kerosene.
Police spokesperson Esther Katongo said Shepherd Chisala and Agnes Kafupi were rushed to Levy Mwanawasa Hospital where Chisala died the same day while his wife was admitted in the ICU.
Ms Katongo said Kafupi sustained serious burns and later died in the early hours of today, between 0530 hours and 0600 hours.
She said after an alleged marital dispute the man set ablaze his wife using Kerosene and he later drunk an unknown poisonous substance in a bid to commit suicide.
This is reported to have happened on 22nd November, 2020 between 02 30 hours and 03 00 hours in Mtendere East.
Ms Katongo said the bodies are in the Levy Mwanawansa Hospital mortuary.
