A-46-year old man of Kitwe’s Bulangililo Township has been killed by his young brother after a quarrel.
Victor Katuta who was a shoe repair in Bulangililo Township was murder by his young brother Adriano Mwaba 32, who came from drinking spree and found his brother resting.
Mr Mweemba said the two usually had differences, a quarrel started and Adriano grabbed an axe handle and started beating his brother.
He said the incident was reported by Silverster Selisho the victim’s step brother.
“Facts are that Adriano was later separated by Adam Simwawa who grabbed the handle from him and escorted the victim walking by himself into the house and left to sleep. Some few minutes later it was observed that the victim was not breathing,” he said.
Mr Mweemba said after they had observed that the victim was not breathing the incident was reported to Riverside Police Station and officers rushed to the crime scene.
“ Upon arriving there, the body was found lying life less with no physical injuries seen or bleeding from any part of the body. Later, the body was picked and taken to Kitwe Teaching Hospital Mortuary where it was pronounced dead on arrival,” he said.
Mr Mweemba said the suspect is currently on the run and the axe handle has been kept as an exhibit.
