A 78 year old man of Musonda Compound in Kitwe has been killed and partially eaten by a crocodile while he was fishing in the Kafue River last night.
Watson Lusale, who had gone fishing around 16:00hrs yesterday, was found dead this morning by the banks of the river by fishermen.
Mr. Lusale, who was a security guard at a private firm, was off duty yesterday and decided to go fishing.
A number of fishermen of Mufuchani area retrieved the body which had intestines and legs missing and also found a torch and a fishing hook the old man was using.
Police officers from Riverside Police Station have picked the body and deposited it in the mortuary at the Kitwe Teaching Hospital.
