Police in Lusaka have arrested a-29-year old of Lusaka for hitting his two months old baby with an elbow during a fight with his wife.
Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga said that Don Musonda of Ibex Hill Meanwood has been arrested for allegedly assaulting his two months old child.
Mr Hamoonga said it is alleged that on January 30, 2022 at around 21 hours, the couple was fighting and in the process the father hit the baby with an elbow who sustained fractured ribs and bruises on her left side of the body.
He said the baby is admitted to Levy Mwanawasa Teaching Hospital receiving treatment whilst the suspect is in police custody.
