Police in Kalulushi have arrested a-24-year-old man for allegedly killing his different abled cousin for unknown reasons.
This occurred on February 5, 2023 at around 04:00 hours near Mukabo Farm in Chati area of Kalulushi
Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba said that Jones Sikombwa 25, was murdered by his cousin identified as Dauti Mukabo of Chati area of Kalulushi.
Mr Mweemba said that the victim was disabled who was not able to talk properly and was staying with his aunty at the farm.
He said on February 4, 2023 at around 1200hours the victim left the farm with his cousin Mukabo and they never came back.
Mr Mweemba said on February 5, 2023 around 0400hours a Community Crime Prevention Officer found the victim being beaten by Mukabo using sticks near the farm.
He said the CCPU managed to apprehend him and later alerted other CCPU officers and family members of the victim.
Mr Mweemba said the victim was taken to Kalulushi General Hospital as he was injured and when they reached the hospital he was pronounced dead.
He said the police inspected the body, which had bruises on the forehand and broken right arm and he was deposited in the mortuary awaiting Post mortem.
