“Other projects include the biggest milling plant in Monze to produce cheaper mealie meal. The Request Muntanga Hospital in Kalomo is among 100 District hospitals constructed aside from the 559 health posts built across the country to which Southern Province has had its share. New Bus stations have also been constructed in Mazabuka, Choma and Kalomo.

In the road subsector, a lot of works too have been done, this includes the Kafue Mazabuka and Chikankata Mazabuka roads which have been upgraded after years of deterioration,” he said.

Mr Mwenda said that the education sector in Southern Province has also received its full share of attention from President Lungu leading to the upgrading of many primary schools into secondary schools.

He said that has been coupled with the construction of additional classrooms both at primary and secondary level.

Mr Mwenda said that many districts in Southern Province are part of the over 700 primary and secondary schools.

“The agriculture sector has received the necessary attention thus the country has been able to record the bumper harvests, and the unprecedented infrastructure development under President Lungu’s leadership has changed Zambia for the better,” he said.
