Lufwanyama receives K1.6m CDF

Lufwanyama Town Council has received the 2018 Constituency Development Fund (CDF) amounting to K1.6 million.

Lufwanyama Town Council has confirmed the receiving K1, 6000, 000.00 from the local government.

Lufwanyama Council Chairperson Moses Chiyuka said the Council had awarded 2018 CDF approved projects to successful contractors for commencement of the projects.

Mr Chiyuka said a total of K299, 902 and K371, 348 has been allocated for the construction of the mothers shelter at Lufwanyama District Hospital and construction of Chimoto rural Health post respectively.

He said a total of K340, 641 and K346, 923 has been allocated for the construction of Milopa Secondary school Laboratory and 1×2 class room block at Fungulwe Secondary School respectively.

“The construction of 63 kilometre Bulaya-Lwangwa feeder road which has not been rehabilitated since 1982 has been allocated K180, 000. The Council has started the construction of Bulaya Bridge at the cost of K231, 000 from Local Government equalisation fund capital project,” he said.

Mr Chiyuka is also appealing to the contractors to do quality work for the benefits of the people of Lufwanyama.
