Lufwanyama Pastors fellowship warn against fake prophets

By CHINOYI CHIPULU
Lufwanyana District Pastors Fellowship Treasurer General Fairchild Fundanga has warned residents in the area to be wary of fake prophets.

Speaking in an interview Mr Fundanga accused the mushrooming number of alleged prophets in the area of taking advantage of innocent people by deceiving them.

“I am very disappointed with the so called prophets. They are grabbing people’s property in the name of prayers. As pastors fellowship we don’t work like that,” he said.

He alleged that some Prophets are grabbing cattle, pieces of land and vehicles in exchange for prayers.

Mr Fundanga also alleged that the Prophets are operating like witchdoctors by drawing tattoos on individuals seeking for prayers, jobs, and marriages.

“It is disappointing to take a person to a prophet who is demanding cows, vehicles among others. Zambia is a Christian nation so I am appealing to authorities to quickly look into this matter,” he said.

He said Government should quickly intervene in the matter before more people fall prey and lose property.
