Lufwanyama Council Chairperson Moses Chiyuka is calling for Government intervention on the abandoned health posts.
The Ministry of health had given nine Health posts to be constructed in Lufwanyama but the contractor engaged by Government had abandoned the project long time ago.
Mr Chiyuka said one out of nine health post has been completed while the other eight are at slab levels.
He said the people of Lufwanyama cover long distances to access health services.
Mr Chiyuka said if these eight health posts were constructed distances will be reduced and people would be able to access medical services at their door steps.
He said Lufyanyama is the largest district in Zambia and it has a growing population in need of better health services.
The name of the completed health post is Milopa health post in Milopa ward.
