Lufwanyama Chiefs commends Govt for development

Lamba Chiefs in Lufwanyama have commended government for taking development in the area.

Speaking separately when Patriotic Front Chairman for Lufwanyama District and his executive Justine Mulenga paid a cutesy call on Chieftainess Shimukunami, Chief Nkana and Acting Chief Shibuchinga expressed gratitude to President Lungu.

Chieftainess Shimukunami disclosed that she was aware that government through the Road Development Agency will soon identify the contractor to work on the phase two of the M18 (Kalengwa road).

She said that government is also constructing her Royal palace that will be completed soon, adding that the ministry of Home Affairs is also constructing houses for police officers.

And His Royal Highness Chief Nkana expressed happiness and commended government for giving him the vehicle that has made his movement into the Chiefdom easily.

He said that President Edgar Chagwa Lungu has shown true leadership by opting to work with all traditional leaders in the country.

Meanwhile, acting Chief Shibuchinga advised the Patriotic Front leadership in Lufwanyama district to work hard in growing the party in his area.

The Chiefs also appealed to the party leadership in Lufwanyama District to emulate the leadership style of President Lungu of respecting traditional leaders as they mobilize the party from their respective Chiefdoms.

And Lufwanyama District Patriotic Front Chairman Justine Mulenga assured the three traditional leaders of exemplary leadership from all party organs established in their Chiefdoms.

Mr. Mulenga said that the party in Lufwanyama District will continue to grow and strengthen the relationship between the party and all traditional leaders.

He said that President Lungu and the party leadership are all committed to ensure that Lufwanyama becomes a model of Infrastructure development.
