Luapula Water MD extols Mulonga Water MD

By JOHN SAKALA
Luapula Water and Sewerage Company Managing Director Kenneth Chense has commended his Mulonga Water and Sewerage counterpart Kanyembo Ndhlovu for neatly attending to customers’ complaints during water blues.

Chingola was hit by water blues which lasted for two days on average, though some areas of Chingola are still off supply.

Initially, the utility firm had communicated with its customers of repairs at Kafue treatment plant which were expected to interrupt water supply between October 10 and October 11.

But the situation got off hand when the utility firm was trying to restore water early in the morning of October 11 and suddenly experienced a power outage.

Soon after the power outage was fixed, there was a leak at the treatment plant forcing for another shut down to facilitate the sealing of the leak.

This situation made Mulonga Water MD Mr Ndhlovu and his Public Relations team to be on the edge of their chairs responding to collective and individual queries.

In admiration, Eng Chense from Luapula Water feels the way Mr Ndhlovu and his team handled the water blues was amazing and deserves commendations.

“The responses and actions by the Mulonga Water management team, and the MD in particular, are a cause for applaud; despite difficult current circumstances that are in progress of firm and long term resolution, they remained calm,” Eng Chense posted in The Independent Observer (TIO) Business forum.

TIO Business WhatsApp group hosts a number of Managing Directors for water utility firms across the country.
