The Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has approved the 2021 CDF projects for Kamfinsa and Kwacha Constituencies in Kitwe.
Kitwe City Council Public Relations Manager Chola Mwamba said Minister of Local Government and Rural Development Garry Nkombo approved various community projects to be funded by the 2021 Constituency Development Fund for Kamfinsa and Kwacha Constituencies.
Ms Chola said that the projects that have been approved under Kamfinsa Constituency include construction of health post in Chankalamo, completion and roofing of a 1x 4 room block at Wesley Nyirenda Secondary School, completion of 1×3 classroom blocks at Mulenga Primary School and the construction of a Market shelter in Zamtan.
“The projects that are have been approved in Kwacha Constituency include the construction of Tambalale bridge in Ipusukilo Ward , construction of 1×3 classroom block at Chantete Community School in Chantete Ward, construction of Mulenga Bridge in Ipusukilo, Sitting, Drilling and Equipping of Borehole at Valleyview Secondary School in Riverside, Rehabilitation of an ablution block and Drilling of a Borehole at Kwacha Market, Construction of Malanji Footbridge in Bulangililo and Repair of school desks at Riverside Primary School among other projects,” she said.
Ms Mwamba said the Local Authority has since urged the youth and women to participate in the projects when tenders are floated.
