Chingola Member of Parliament Matthew Nkhuwa has called on Zambians countrywide to turn out in large numbers today Friday December 11, and register as voters.
Mr Nkhuwa who is also Energy Minister said today which is the last day of the voter registration exercise can be ulitilised to fatten the cow on the market day.
He said registering on the last day is not a bad idea than not registering at all.
“Our desire as the ruling Patriotic Front is for more people to get registered as voters so that many people are involved in governance. We should remember that democracy is a government of the people, by the people, for the people meaning more should be involved in selecting their elected representatives.
“Uwakaana ukwela ninshi akaana nokoca’ meaning whoever refuses to go fishing refuses to fry. Our going to registering as voters means going fishing. We should remember that no sweet without sweat,” he said.
