Let respect define us-Chingola PF Chairperson

By ALICE NACHILEMBE
Chingola newly elected PF District Chairperson Felix Mulenga has called on PF members in Chingola to have respect for people serving in various Government departments and institutions including private sector.

Speaking during his first District executive committee meeting over the weekend, Mr Mulenga in the picture said respect for others is a virtue which attracts both the weak and the might.

He said respect for one another as party leaders must be paramount as doing so will definitely send out a good signal.

“If we have respect for others, ourselves and the public, that virtue will attract more members to join PF and instill hope and confidence in top party leadership. Our greatest enemy is ourselves. We like fighting amongst ourselves.

“From today on wards, all the sprinter camps in the district must cease and they must put their preconceived ambitions of wanting to become Members of Parliament, Councilors and Mayors on hold. When members begin to aspire while others are serving in the same office, that what undermines the MPs, Councillors and Mayors thereby bringing camps within the party,” he said.

He said in order to bring unity and success to the party, the PF District Executive will not take lightly any infighting or those fighting the incumbent elected leaders.

Mr Mulenga said anyone found disobeying party directives will be dealt with according the party constitution.

He said the animal farm politics will not be entrained in the district.

He appealed to all indiscipline and erring members to refrain from their negative behaviour or else the party shall institute disciplinary sanctions against them.

Mr Mulenga said the leadership of the new executive will be anchored on fundamental principles on which the party was founded and the confines of the party constitution.
