MacLaren Christian School Director Eunice Nachilima says her institution will continue meeting the basic requirements of a learning institution for the betterment of the learners.
Ms Nachilima said learners deserve to learn in a safe and dignified environment for them to excel.
She said a school should be conducive for learners so as to encourage them not to be abstaining from classes.
Ms Nachilima said this on Monday when Chililabombwe District Education Standard Officers Joakim Mulenga and Ernest Mukonko paid a courtesy call on the routine checks.
She said that her school will strive to uphold the standard which has seen them be held in high esteem by Chililabombwe residents.
“Schools should be safe for children so that they are encouraged to attend class every day. That is why at MacLaren School we provide a conducive, safe and dignified learning environment for all learners,” she said.
Mr Mulenga lauded the school for not only contributing to the education service delivery but also by creating jobs for the locals.
“We appreciate their services and that is why we thought of awarding an examination status to them, that is why this year all students will write their exams right here,” he said.
And Ernest Mukonko said MacLaren is among the renowned private schools in the border town was founded on the fundamentals aimed at equipping learners with necessary beginnings.
Initially the school started as a cater for Baby Class but has now blossomed to a level of even introducing Grade Seven Classes following a move by the Ministry of Education to give them a Centre Number.
The Ministry gave the Centre Number status to the school this year.
In a bid to meet their objective of ensuring that pupils are learning in a conducive environment, the school has engaged the services of friendly teachers.
The availabity of the friendly teachers has made it easy for children to continue assessing quality education.
