The Zambia international has agreed a deal that will keep him with the Kustboys till 2021 after successful medicals
Belgian Division A side KV Oostende have confirmed the capture of Fashion Sakala from Spartak Moscow on a three-year deal.
The 21-year-old attacker joined the Versluys Arena outfit in February 2017 and teamed up with the second team where he scored ten goals in 31 appearances in the 2017-18 Russian Football National League.
On Monday, the Kustboys announced the acquisition of the attacker and revealed the details of the contract during his unveiling.
“KVO has a new attacker to snare. The Zambian Fashion Junior Sakala [21] comes over from Spartak Moscow and signs a contract for three seasons,” read a statement on the club website.
“He was officially presented this afternoon [Monday] in the Versluys Arena and is also training for the first time [with the club].
In his reaction, the youngster revealed that compatriot Emmanuel Banda along with club chairman Hugo Broos made the decision to sign for the side easy.
“I can play in rush hour and as an offensive midfielder,” said Sakala.
“My compatriot and friend Emmanuel Banda told me a lot about this club, I also had a good chat with Hugo Broos and chairman Peter Callant, I have already arrived here on Friday and I really like this city by the sea.
“In addition, KVO is extremely ambitious to score with a renewed player core and training staff and I want to be part of this great project. I hope the fans will support me in this new challenge.”
Sakala could be involved when Oostende take on Hapoel Haifa in a friendly game on Wednesday.
