The Kulamba Traditional Ceremony which was slated for this August this year has been cancelled due to Covid-19.
This is the second time the ceremony is being cancelled since Covid-19 started in Zambia.
National Secretary for Chewa Heritage Foundation , Zambia Chapter Raphael Phiri confirmed in an interview.
Mr Phiri said Chefo has decided to cancel the ceremony due to increasing cases of Covid-19 and deaths.

He said the ceremony attracts alot of people from Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique, and can be a Covid-19 super spreader event.
Kulamba is held every year on the last Saturday of August.
