A woman in Kitwe has been arrested for allegedly pouring hot water on her ex-husband.
Dorothy Sakala was arrested after pouring hot water on Blessing Kasongo, 32 of Chimwemwe Township who warned her to stop going to his house.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo confirmed in a statement that the victim sustained burns on the left side of his face, shoulder and on his back and he is admitted to Kitwe Teaching Hospital.
“This happened when the victim went to his ex-wife’s house to warn her to stop going to his house. This infuriated the suspect who poured hot water on him,” she said.
In another development, Ms Katongo said police in Ndola are investigating Ndola received a report of Incest in which a 70 year old man has allegedly been sexually abusing his grandchild aged 16.
“This occurred between January 2015 and 10 January 2021 in which a female adult of Pamodzi VLC reported that her cousin aged 16 years had been abused sexually on several occasions by her biological grandfather aged 70 years, the recent one being on 10th January, 2021,”she said.
She said investigations have been instituted.
In another development, In Kitwe, police have arrested a female adult identified as Dorothy Sakala alleged to have assaulted her ex-husband Blessings Kasongo aged 32 of Chimwemwe Towniship by pouring hot water on him.
