Kitwe United settles for Mujembe

By Mercy Chewe
Konkola Blades legend Lewingtone Mujembe has been appointed as head coach of FAZ National Division One side Kitwe United.

Mujembe takes over from Albert Mphande, who left Kitwe to join City of Lusaka recently.

The Buchi Boys says Mujembe has been awarded a performance based contract.

“As usual we have given him a performance based contract,” the club executive announced on Monday.

Mujembe is a former Konkola Blades coach and defender.

He helped Konkola to win promotion to the Super Division last year.

Mujembe finds Kitwe placed eighth in Division One with 30 points in 20 matches.

Kitwe have recorded a draw and three losses since the start of the second round matches.
