Kitwe Mayor Christopher Kang’ombe says Kitwe is wearing a new beautiful face t0 rightfully boast as the best cosmopolitan City in Zambia.
“Avic construction is doing 56km of urban roads under the Zambia Township Roads Project (ZTRP). China Jiangxi working on highway from Ndola entering into Kitwe.
“China Henan contract is awaiting financing and yet to commence which will cover 96km and Sino Hydro doing dual carriageway from Chingola entering into Kitwe will also be done,” Mr Kang’ombe said.
He said with all aforementioned road projects the face of Kitwe’s transformational rate is outstanding.
The Mayor said both the main entrances from Ndola and Chingola would be a marvel.
He attributed the awesome face Kitwe is wearing to the unwavering support from central government.
The local authority in Kitwe did submit for funding major road works and we have two contractors on site;
“This is what we promised the people and we are delivering on these transformational commitments,” he said.
