Kitwe District Patriotic Front (PF) party has commended the Central Committee for expelling Bahati Member of Parliament Harry Kalaba from the party.
PF Kitwe District Chairperson Evaristo Chilufya said the party will not expect Mr Kalaba to go to court as the party want him to taste the waters by allowing a by election.
Mr Chilufya said the by election will teach Mr Kalaba a lesson that the party is bigger than an individual adding that the popularity that he claims is not his but the party that adopted him.
“We do not expect Mr Kalaba to play chicken here by going to the court but we want him to taste the waters by allowing a by election to go ahead so that we can teach him a lesson that the party is bigger than an individual and that the popularity he claims is not his but the PF which took him in,” he said.
Mr Chilufya said dismissal of Mr Kalaba will save as a lesson to members that loyalty should be given to President Edgar Lungu and the party.
He added that the party will not condone the behaviour of Mr Kalaba who bent on denting the image of the party.
He said Mr Kalaba will soon come back to the ruling party as he will draw a blank where he is going.
“Mr Kalaba was a no body and the party made him who he is today. This should save as a warning to to our members in Kitwe and the country at large that loyalty should be to our party and to the President so as to avoid what has befallen on Mr Kalaba,” he added
