This follows the letter written by Konkola Copper Mines (KCM) to Chingola Municipal Council seeking for land to relocate the families.

KCM, Chingola Council commit over cracked houses
The information reaching The Independent Observer is that Chingola Council has officially receipted the letter from KCM.
Nchanga PF Member of Parliament Chali Chilombo who has been the Chief lobbyist of the event confirmed the development to The Independent Observer.
Mr Chilombo and OF Buntungwa Ward Councillor Soko Mumba have been at the centre of this matter.
The Independent Observer will give its readers full details as soon all the parties avail the necessary media statements.
But KCM is reported to have agreed to relocate the families on humanitarian grounds and not accepting responsibility of cracking the houses.
