Kazungula bridge contractor shuts down works for non-payments

By Staff Writer
Korean multinational Daewoo Engineering and Construction which is constructing Kazungula Bridge will today close down the site due to a financial issue.

This is because Zambia has not fulfilled its monetary obligation.

Last week the Zambian Embassy in Botswana has issued a statement saying payments had been made.

Yet, Daewoo Kazungula Bridge Project Administrative Manager HongSeouk Park has said the promised amount has not been paid.
