Green Eagles Chairperson Lieutenant Colonel Jim Koshita Kafumukache says the command does not want to rob the Kawale boys of the massive support they get at home.
Kafumukache who is Zambia National Service (ZNS) Southern Province Commanding Officer said the team needs to play from Choma to have the 13th player on the pitch.
He said Green Eagles Football Club has embarked on massive renovation of the stadium in a quest to host CAF Confederation Games in Choma.
“The sponsors ZNS have been very supportive financially to ensure that the stadium is developed to meet CAF Standards. The club has already built the Secretariat which consists of the secretariat office, Media Office, Media Room and Conference Room.
“A doping room has also been built and the dressing rooms have been expanded and modernized. Other the things that have been upgraded at the stadium include public toilets, more exit gates, scoreboard, entrances, parking lots and the turf is being worked on,” he said.
Green Eagles are awaiting CAF Inspectors to determine whether the team will play from Choma or look for Plan B.
Green Eagles FC finished 4th in this year’s MTN/FAZ Super League with 71 points, recording 20 wins, 11 draws and 7 losses
