Kapeta dates 3 Provinces to raise awareness on Land titling

Lands and Natural Resources Minister Jean Kapata has embarked on a sensitisation tour on the upcoming National land and Titling program (NLTP) which will be rolled out in the provinces.

The Minister who begun the sensitisation program in Choma, Southern Province yesterday is today expected in Kabwe, Central Province before proceeding to Ndola on the Copperbelt.

The NLTP is an initiative of the Government under the President Edgar Lungu, through the Ministry of Lands and Natural resources with the aim of bringing all State land in Zambia into the National Land registration systems and ensure security of tenure.

The program is one of the performance indicators in the Seventh National Development Plan 7NDP with a target of titling 5 Million Properties by the end of the 7NDP period.

The Project will be undertaken in collaboration with Medici land governance on a fee based contract.

The Project will also be done in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance , Ministry of Local Government, Ministry of Justice and all Provincial Administrations.
