Kansanshi Dynamos move on after Bestone departure

By Mercy Chewe
Kansanshi Dynamos have started life after the resignation of head coach Beston Chambeshi with a 1-0 win over Kabwe Youth away in Kabwe.

Chambeshi quit as Kansanshi coach on Saturday and he is expected to join one of the Super Division clubs this Week.

Kansanshi’s win in Kabwe was engineered by experienced defender Bob Chansa who scored the goal in the 31 minute.

The win helped Kansanshi join Konkola Blades at the top of the FAZ National Division 1 table.

Both Kansanshi and Blades are tied on 46 points apiece but the Chililabombwe side has a superior goal difference and a game in hand.

Konkola Blades will restore a three point lead at the top should they beat struggling Police College in their delayed game.

Third placed Kafue Celtic are four points behind the leading duo after edging MUZA 1-0 over the weekend.

Chambishi remained fourth on the table after overcoming Kashikishi Warriors 2-0 at home in Chambishi.

Promotion chasing City of Lusaka are number five on the table with 39 points and one un-played match following 1-1 draw at Zesco Shockers in Mongu.
